Day 17 - Trees, Tinsel & Traditions

For this layout I used Doodlecharms.  I just love that little reindeer!

Love these little alphabet letters.

  Some black rhinestone eyes and glaze pen accents.

I added a baggie so I could put some of the "Magic Reindeer Food" on the layout.

Today's a special day for me.....it's my Birthday!!!!  I had a wonderful day off yesterday spending time with my family and getting pampered!!!

Day 16 - October - Sweets n' Treats

For this layout I used Create a Critter (Sweet Dreams) and Christmas Cheer (Candy).

OK...I know October is normally Black and Orange and Purple --- 

but I just couldn't bring myself to scrap in those colors ---

So I focused on the Sweets n' Treats!! 

Sorry for the poor lighting.  This layout is pink, dark pink, and frosty white.

Maybe Santa will bring me a whitebox (large enough to fit my layouts)

with lights.  If you have any suggestions

Day 12 - Kris & Kompany

For this frame I used several cartridges --   

Doodlecharms, Martha Stewart Seasonal 

Cake Art, Art Nouveau and Songbird

This frame is made so that my niece can change out the layout and put it into an 

album and replace it with the next "1st" in Journey's life! 

"Journey's 1st" is made with white vinyl and is sitting on top of the glass.

I used the Devine Swirl embossing folder for "Kris'" beard and mustache.  

Stardust Stickles and a piece of a feather boa.

May -- Mother's Day

I created a shadow box for my Niece to help her celebrate her first Mother's Day! 

I used the Mother's Day 2010 Cartridge and white vinyl.  

The Happy Mother's Day sentiment is cut out at 2.5".

I'm so excited to share that I will be on My Paper Crafting's  design team for their upcoming 25 days of Christmas and Year 'Round Crafting event!

This will be the 3rd annual 25 days event and everyone is working on their creations to share with you!

Looking for an excuse to get away????  I've got just the answer........gather your friends and meet me at the Kansas City CK Scrapbook Convention!!!

It's a great place to take classes and learn new techniques, play with the latest toys....I mean TOOLS...and create works of art! 

It's a great place to meet other people that love to scrapbook, make cards, create mini-albums, altered art and more!!!! 

It's a great place to catch up on your projects and look to see what others are up too!!!  I'll be volunteering/working  Thursday and Friday so bring your stuff and let's get crafting!!!!

Last but not least.....you can shop, shop, shop at the vendor fair.  You can pick up the latest scrapbooking toys (I mean TOOLS) and product lines!!

Summer Lovin'

This week with Cooking with Cricut we're all wondering "Where'd Summer Go?"

Summer seemed to go by SO fast and it was VERY hot here in the mid-west.  I was lucky enough to have my family from Alabama visit for a week.  We had fun seeing the sights of Kansas City and especially the new Sea Life Aquarium that recently opened in our area. 

Experiencing the aquarium with my 3 year old great nephew was amazing and inspired my layout below.

WARNING:  While using this paper -- the glitter gets EVERYWHERE. 

I now have a dedicated Cricut mat to use for my glitter paper.  :)
